Putting an end to rumors that she’s changing career paths, Disney announced that Miley Cyrus will return for a fourth season of “Hannah Montana”.
“Miley and the producers have proposed a change of setting for Season Four that will provide the catalyst for wonderful new characters and further expand the storytelling opportunities,” a statement from The Disney Channel reads.

It is hard to believe that Miley Cyrus is only sixteen! She is one of the most googled celebrities on the planet and has achieved superstar status as a musician, TV/movie actress and even an author. is this all a bit too much for someone only born a decade and a half ago? Some of her closest friends think so.
‘Behind her super-confident facade lurks a fragile side, honestly there have been times when I have truly feared she will go the way of Britney Spears. it’s hard to imagine the pressure she is under’ one anonymous source close to Cryus family noted.
Of course, Britney Spears’ personal struggles are legendary but apparently Miley balks at the suggestion that super-stardom might prove too hard for her.

Not everybody can star in Footloose, but they certainly seem to be trying.
Miley Cyrus is the latest hot young thing being considered for the leading-lady role in the remake of the song-and-dance extravaganza, E! News has exclusively learned.
“They’ve expressed interest in Miley for the part,” a source close to the tween queen said.
A source close to the production further added that Cyrus “is definitely in the mix.”
As it stands, that mix currently includes Hayden Panettiere, Amanda Bynes and Dancing With the Stars pro Julianne Hough, all of whom have auditioned in recent weeks for the part of Ariel Moore, the independent-minded daughter of a preacher man, originated in the 1984 classic by Lori Singer.
One starlet who hasn’t auditioned for the role: Cyrus. Presumably because her singing, dancing and audience-pulling prowess have already been proven.
While Cyrus’s reps had no comment on the potential casting coup, it may be a bit premature for her to sign on the dotted line just yet. The film has a release date of June 18, 2010, and Cyrus’ schedule is already booked through the end of summer.
The Disney star will soon be heading down to Georgia, with production on the adaptation of Nicholas Sparks’s as yet unreleased book The Last Song scheduled to begin June 15.
As for Footloose, no castmembers have yet been officially announced, though Chace Crawford seems a mortal lock to replace the suddenly musical-eschewing Zac Efron.
Both the Gossip guy and another Dancing With the Stars pro, Julianne’s brother Derek Hough, have auditione to play Ren McCormack (the role originated by Kevin Bacon).

What do you get when you take a bunch of Disney stars and put them in one room? If history has taught us anything, I’d guess a few stints in rehab, multiple photo scandals, and a tween love triangle ending in some form of a dance-off. You can imagine my surprise when Disney corralled Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, and the rest of their Lohans-in-training and produced an important video message launching Disney’s Friends for Change: Project Green. On the interactive website, kids can learn green tips, track their impact on the environment, and vote to determine how Friends for Change will divide up a $1 million donation among various causes. So thanks Miley and co. for keeping your tops on for this PSA. I look forward to reading about your next scandal in US Weekly very soon.

Cyrus wants to be like Victoria Beckham

Miley Cyrus is hoping to follow in the footsteps of Victoria Beckham — by becoming a soccer mom.
The 16-year-old says she admires the former Spice Girl — who has three young sons with her soccer star husband David Beckham — and her ability to still look glam while juggling her family commitments.
“In 10 years, I’d like to be a soccer mom, like Victoria,” said Miley, who is currently dating 20-year-old underwear model Justin Gaston.
“I’ll be there in my heels cheering on my kids. ‘Go, team, go.’ But I’ll have no idea what’s going on.”
Cyrus lashes out on cyber bullies

Hurt by a post on the internet labeling her fat, Disney star Miley Cyrus lashed out against cyber bullies over her Twitter account.
Miley was in the Bahamas Friday, May 15, with her family and any one who has seen pictures of her walking on the beach there, wearing a black top with just a bikini bottom, knows she is not fat!
It all started when Miley tweeted
i just jiggled my thighs and they shook on their own for 3 mississipis no more late night lucky Charms
Probably upset by a reaction, she later tweeted.

Why does that make me respect them?
One of my good friends is gay and I think that it’s great that there are celebrities out there that say that “being gay is okay.” There’s also the fact that one of those celebrities is Britney Spears and my friend just adores her.

Though the new Miley Cyrus/Nicholas Sparks movie won’t be coming to Wilmington, talented actors and actresses along the coast still have a chance to land a role in the film.
Casting directors still have 10 open spots to fill on “The Last Song.” Now, they’re sending out casting calls to people in both Wilmington and Savannah, Georgia.
Georgia officials offered lucrative incentives at the last minute to persuade filmmakers to shoot the movie in Savannah instead of Wilmington.

Cyrus romances Australian Actor in “The Last Song”

Miley Cyrus will romance Australian actor Liam Hemsworth in The Last Song, a film specially penned for her by novelist Nicholas Sparks (The Notebook).
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Disney’s adaption of the novel will be helmed by Julie Anne Robnison who in the past has directed TV series like Grey’s Anatomy (Five episodes) and Cutting It.
Miley plays a rebellious teenager who is forced to spend the summer with her estranged father, while Hemsworth plays a member of the local cool crowd, an awesome beach volleyball player with Ivy League dreams.
Hemsworth starred in the recent Sci-Fi drama mystery Knowing starring Nicolas Cage. He has also featured in Australian TV series like The Elephant Princess (2008) and Neighbors (2008).
Filming is planned to start on June 15 in Georgia.
Miley Challenges Lawsuit

Miley Cyrus‘ music might be the stuff of tweenage dreams, focused on young love and being young, but her legal team is nothing but serious.
A woman recently filed a class-action lawsuit against the star, claiming that the infamous picture of Miley slanting her eyes back with a group of others offended her, and now her attorneys are slamming those allegations, E! News reports.
Miley’s lawyers say that Lucie J. Kim’s claim is based on a civil rights statute involving equal access to public accommodations. So although she’s complaining that the picture of Miley insulted L.A.’s Asian-Pacific Islanders, the lawsuit doesn’t mean she should get money for being offended. A hearing in the motion to dismiss the suit is set for June 4.
The Hannah Montana star apologized at the time for her “goofy” picture, and legal documents state that she”did not intend to discriminate against Asian-Pacific Islander descent.”
